How I discovered coaching

For as long as I can remember I have had interest in fitness.  The promises led behind so many fitness programs intrigued me. I was always looking to find the latest and greatest program that had all the promises of losing weight and getting in shape.  To say the least I spent a lot of time in big box gyms on the dreaded treadmill or completely lost in the weight machine area wondering where do I even start or better yet how do I even fit in here?

In the summer of 2012, I started hearing more and more about Crossfit and noticed a location opening up near my home.  My first thought was no way because like a lot of women I felt there is no chance I could lift all that weight and do what they do.  The most I had ever lifted was a 5lb dumbbell and to be honest it was probably pink. However, since I was really fed up with everything I had tried, I figured what did I have to lose?  It’s been almost 6 years now that I walked into Crescent City Crossfit and I have never looked back. I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am in the best shape of my life, I feel amazing and I have made friends that will last a lifetime.  Now I’m fortunate enough to help others become better versions of themselves.

What I love about coaching

There are so many but one of my favorite things above coaching is the building of confidence in your client.  I want my clients to see and feel their strength inside and out. It’s amazing to see what we can do as human beings but sometimes we need that extra push and that’s what I’m here for.  I want others to believe in themselves, know their potential and see how great they truly are.

Personal likes and hobbies outside the gym

Ashley’s Assistant:  That would be my daughter lol!!  She keeps me busy. I’m always juggling her dance classes, dance competitions, cheer, school work, altar service etc.  She keeps be on my toes and I love every second of it.

Wine & Dine:  Perfect date night with my Hubby.  We love trying new restaurants!

I also enjoy most types of music, dancing and a relaxing day at the spa.

Something I'm not good at

In regards to Crossfit, the Snatch is not my best friend.  It will continue to ALWAYS be a work in progress.

FAVORITE GYM MEMORY

There is nothing like seeing one of your friends hit a PR or accomplish a goal that they thought was impossible.
